This aftermarket replacement Seal Gp-Final Drive (part number 1668815) is a Duo Cone seal assembly used in the final drive of Caterpillar (Cat) construction equipment. The Duo Cone seal group protects the final drive by preventing gear oil from leaking out and blocking dirt, mud, and debris from entering the rotating assembly -- critical for maintaining drivetrain integrity in demanding excavation and earthmoving applications. The seal group consists of hardened metal toric rings paired with rubber O-rings that work together to form a self-compensating face seal.
